About “Me Before You”

Louisa Clark is a young woman from a small village who leads a simple life. She takes a job caring for Will Traynor, a wealthy man who is now wheelchair-bound after an accident. Will once lived an adventurous life, but he has lost his will to live. He is difficult and distant, but Louisa refuses to treat him with pity. As she spends more time with him, she grows to care for him deeply. When she discovers his secret plans, she tries to help him see that life is still worth living. The novel explores the relationship between two people from very different backgrounds and the emotional challenges they face. It is a romantic story that questions the choices people make when love and personal happiness conflict. The book was published in 2012 by Jojo Moyes.
