About “Blue Mars”
A 1996 novel by Kim Stanley Robinson. The red planet is red no longer, as Mars has become a perfectly inhabitable world, while Earth is threatened by overpopulation and ecological disaster. People look to Mars as a refuge, initiating possible interplanetary conflict and political strife between the Reds, who wish to preserve Mars's desert state, and the Green terraformers.
