About “The Mapping of Love and Death”
In August 1914, cartographer Michael Clifton maps land in California believing oil lies beneath, then leaves to serve in the British army and later goes missing. In 1932, Maisie Dobbs is hired by his parents to find the nurse whose love letters were among his belongings, and discovers he was murdered in his trench.
