About “Welcome to Camden Falls”

Ann M. Martin's 2007 children's novel introduces a new series centered on Flora and Ruby, who are forced to move to Camden Falls after their parents die. Their grandmother, Min, takes them in and runs a sewing store called Needle & Thread on Main Street. There, the girls meet Olivia, who enjoys organizing, and Nikki, who lives in a different part of town. Though they are initially uncomfortable in their new surroundings, Camden Falls proves to be a welcoming place, and the town's stories become part of their own. The novel blends elements from Martin's previous works, including her Newbery Honor-winning fiction and the Baby-Sitters Club series.
