Having completed his mission to rescue Elaine Belloc's spirit, the Morningstar confronts a new crisis: God's departure has left an empty throne in Heaven, and angel and devil must cooperate against two would-be usurpers. Afterward Lucifer decrees that all immortals must leave his own creation. Not everyone intends to comply. Collects Lucifer #42-44 and #46-49.
