About “Little House on the Prairie”

This 1935 American children's novel, third in the Little House series, follows Laura Ingalls and her family as they leave their little house in the Big Woods of Wisconsin and head west to the Kansas Territory prairie. They travel for many days by covered wagon, build a new home, plant and plow, hunt, and gather grass for their cows, until they are caught in the middle of a dangerous conflict.
