About “Bearers of the Black Staff”
Bearers of the Black Staff is a fantasy novel by Terry Brooks, published on August 24, 2010. It is the first book in a two-part series called the Legends of Shannara. The story takes place 500 years after the final book in the Genesis of Shannara trilogy, The Gypsy Morph. In the novel, people who were saved by Hawk's magic are able to leave the safety of their refuge and return to the World, as the effects of a nuclear holocaust have faded.
