About “Advances in artificial intelligence”
This year, Brazil celebrates its 500 years of discovery. To mark the occasion, the Brazilian Artificial Intelligence (AI) community organized a special international joint conference combining SBIA 2000 and IBERAMIA 2000. SBIA 2000 is the 15th conference in the SBIA series, the leading conference in Brazil for AI research and applications. Since 1995, SBIA has been an international conference with papers in English and an international program committee, and its proceedings are published in Springer-Verlag’s Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence series. IBERAMIA 2000 is the 7th conference in the IBERAMIA series, a key forum for Ibero-American AI researchers from South and Central America, Mexico, Spain, and Portugal. Since IBERAMIA’98, it has also been an international conference with proceedings published in the LNAI series.
