About “Pale as Death”

The corpse of a young actress, drained of blood and cut in two, echoes the infamous Black Dahlia killing. LAPD Detective Sophie Manning, desperate to catch the murderer, begins experiencing visits from ghosts, and is forced to partner with Bruce McFadden, a Krewe of Hunters consultant who can speak with the dead, despite her reluctance to accept his help or his attentions.
