When Earl Alden is found dead, dangling from a wind turbine, his wife Missy is arrested. Missy is Joe Pickett's mother-in-law, a woman he dislikes, and though early signs point to her guilt, Joe begins to wonder whether Earl's death is what it appears to be, and whether Missy is being set up.
