About “The Spy Who Loved Me”

Vivienne Michel, a French Canadian raised in the United Kingdom, feels out of place everywhere she goes. She travels to the Adirondacks with a Vespa and a few American dollars. After stopping at the Dreamy Pines Motor Court, she is forced to stay there overnight. There, she encounters two armed mobsters, putting her in danger as a woman alone. A third man arrives— an Englishman who appears confident and observant, changing the situation. Meanwhile, James Bond, recovering from Operation Thunderball, plans a quiet trip through the Adirondacks. His plans change when his tire goes flat in front of the same motel.
