About “Friend of the devil”

Chief Inspector Alan Banks and Detective Inspector Annie Cabbot work together to solve two murders in a novel by Peter Robinson. A woman named Karen Drew is found dead on a cliff, her throat slit while in her wheelchair. At the same time, the body of Hayley Daniels, a nineteen-year-old student, is discovered after she was raped and strangled. Annie investigates Karen's life, but finds little evidence of a motive. Meanwhile, Banks has many suspects in Hayley's case, as she often attracted attention. A breakthrough in Annie's case leads her to Banks, suggesting a connection between the two crimes. The detectives search for two killers who may strike again.
