About “Born in Death”

In 2060, Lieutenant Eve Dallas investigates a double homicide involving two young lovers who work at the same prestigious accounting firm. She also struggles to prepare for a baby shower for her friend Mavis Freestone. Mavis asks Eve to find Tandy Willowby, a woman from London who missed the shower. When Eve enters Tandy's apartment, she finds a gift for the shower and a packed hospital bag. Normally, this would be a missing persons case, but Mavis insists Eve handle it. Eve must track Tandy while uncovering secrets in the financial records of wealthy and secretive New Yorkers. Her husband, Roarke, helps with the data analysis, but Eve faces real danger as she works to solve the case.
