About “Citizen of the Galaxy”

Citizen of the Galaxy follows the journey of young Thorby, who begins as an orphaned boy sold into slavery in a distant galaxy. He is bought and freed by Baslim, a seemingly disabled beggar who is actually an abolitionist spy. Baslim raises Thorby and teaches him values like family, self-reliance, and discipline. When Baslim's secret work puts them in danger, Thorby is forced to flee with the Free Traders, a group of merchant princes. He learns to survive and grow by his own efforts. As he travels through a hostile galaxy, Thorby's life takes a dramatic turn when he uncovers the truth about his own identity. The story is a coming-of-age narrative set in a vast and varied galactic setting.
