About “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”
"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official story presented on stage. Written by Jack Thorne based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany, and Jack Thorne, the play premiered in London's West End on July 30, 2016. The story follows Harry Potter, now an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three children. Harry deals with a past that continues to affect him, while his youngest son, Albus, struggles with the burden of his family's legacy. As past and present collide, both Harry and Albus face the reality that darkness can come from unexpected places.
