Bakery owner Hannah Swensen finds Sheriff Grant's body in a Dumpster behind the high school where she teaches a cooking class, with fudge frosting from one of her cupcakes on his shirt. Her brother-in-law Bill, who had been challenging Grant in the sheriff's election, becomes the prime suspect, prompting Hannah to investigate.
