Bornstellar is expected to follow in his father's footsteps, but he is drawn to the lost treasures of the Precursors. His obsession leads him to be sent among the Miners. Meanwhile, Forerunner society faces challenges, and new dangers emerge. On a planet, Bornstellar's path crosses with two humans and a military leader, changing his fate and the galaxy's future.
