Pierce Moffet is searching for the mythical Aegypt, a hidden realm of magic and wonder embedded in the myths and legends of the real world. He first became aware of Aegypt through the work of the cult novelist Fellowes Kraft. Using Kraft's unfinished final novel as a guide, Pierce travels to Europe, where he uncovers hints of Aegypt's mysteries in the teachings of the Rosicrucians. The novel explores the idea that Aegypt exists as an alternate reality, subtly woven into history and belief systems. The story is part of a 2007 novel by John Crowley.
