Britney Crosby finds her cousin Ethan strange, and with good reason. Ethan torments her with an old ventriloquist's dummy that has its own plans for her. The story then introduces a vacation offer at a popular "scream park," where guests are given a free week of thrills. However, some guests are trapped and cannot leave after six days and seven frights. The novel, written by R. L. Stine in 2008, follows these terrifying events.
