In Murder on Waverly Place, Sarah Brandt accompanies her mother, Mrs. Decker, to a seance meant to contact her late sister Maggie, whose death Mrs. Decker still feels guilty over. At a second seance, an attendee is murdered while every suspect was holding hands in the dark, and Sarah and Detective Sergeant Frank Malloy must find how it happened.
