Talking to Dragons is a 1985 novel by Patricia Wrede, a fast-paced, humorous YA science fiction work and the fourth book of the Enchanted Forest series, set a generation after the first book. Young Daystar, raised by his mother Cimorene at the edge of the Enchanted Forest, is sent on an adventure with a magical sword, meeting a young fire witch and an immature dragon along the way.
