This sequel to West of Eden continues the saga of a world where dinosaurs survived and their intelligent descendants challenged humans for mastery of Earth. A new ice age threatens the planet, and facing extinction, the dinosaurs employ their mastery of biology to reconquer human territory. Kerrick, a hunter raised among the dinosaurs, launches a quest to rally humankind's defense, traveling with his wife and son to the whale hunters, into enemy territory, and toward a final reckoning.
