About “Death on the Board”
This is the twenty-sixth book in a long-running mystery series featuring Dr. Launcelot Priestley. The story begins with the death of Sir Andrew Wiggenhall, the chairman of a large ironmongers firm, who is killed by an explosion at his home in Beckenham, Kent. Superintendent Hanslet, the investigating officer, doubts it was an accident, especially after another board member is also found dead. With Priestley's assistance, Hanslet works to uncover the truth behind the suspicious events affecting the remaining board members.
