At the Mountains of Madness is a science-fiction and cosmic horror novella written by H. P. Lovecraft in February–March 1931. It was first published in three installments in Astounding Stories in February, March, and April 1936. The story was initially rejected by Weird Tales editor Farnsworth Wright due to its length.
