About “Monsoon”
Monsoon is a 1999 novel by Wilbur Smith. It follows the adventures of Hal's sons: William, Tom, Guy, and Dorian. An Arab Corsair is attacking ships in the Indian Ocean, and the English send Hal to stop him. The twin brothers Tom and Guy have a falling out over a woman, leading Guy to leave for India while William stays in England. Dorian is captured by slavers and sold to the Prince of Oman, al-Malik, who adopts him. There, Dorian meets Yasmini, one of the prince's daughters, and saves her from Zayn al-Din, another son of the prince. Dorian and Yasmini fall in love but are forced to flee, accused of incest.
