The Small House at Allington is a novel by Anthony Trollope that first appeared as a serial in the Cornhill Magazine from July–December 1862, continuing into the same months of the following year. It was published as a two-volume work in 1864. The novel is the fifth in Trollope’s Chronicles of Barsetshire series, coming after Framley Parsonage and before The Last Chronicle of Barset.
