About “Fear”
Fear is a novel by Anatoly Rybakov that explores the Soviet Union's buildup to the 'Congress of the Victors' and the early years of the second Five Year Plan. It also examines the circumstances surrounding the murder of Sergey Kirov, which occurred before the Great Purge. The book is the second in a trilogy, following Children of the Arbat and preceding Dust and Ashes.
