The Brotherband crew is blown far off course by a massive storm at sea and washes up on unfamiliar western shores. A massive, marauding bear appears, advancing on two children, and the crew rescues them, earning the gratitude of the local Mawagansett tribe. The Ghostfaces, a ruthless tribe who shave their heads and paint their faces white, are returning to raid the village after ten years, and the Herons prepare to help repel the invasion. It is the sixth book in the Brotherband Chronicles, a 2016 novel by John Flanagan.
