About “Binti: Home”

It's been a year since Binti and Okwu enrolled at Oomza University. A year since Binti was honored as a hero for bringing peace between two warring planets. A year since she formed a friendship with Okwu, a Meduse. Now Binti must return to her people on Earth with Okwu, who is the first Meduse to visit Earth in over a hundred years and the first to come in peace. Okwu's presence challenges long-standing tensions between humans and Meduse. The story explores whether peace is possible after generations of conflict. The novella was published in 2017 and is written by Nnedi Okorafor.
