Nolan (1928-2021) was an American writer best known as the creator and coauthor of Logan's Run, a bestselling science fiction classic adapted into a hit film, a television series, and comic books. He wrote 13 novels and scores of short stories, edited more than two dozen books in science fiction, horror, western, and suspense, won the Edgar Allan Poe Special Award twice, and was named 2002 Living Legend by the International Horror Guild.
