Ramón del Valle-Inclán (1866–1936) was a Spanish dramatist, poet, and novelist. He was born in Villanueva de Arosa, Galicia, and died in Santiago de Compostela. He was associated with the modernist movement in Spain and was part of the Generation of 98. His work was noted for challenging traditional Spanish theater in the early 20th century. He is considered one of the key figures in 20th-century Spanish literature.
