Meg Cabot

5 series 40 books in order 2000–2016

Meggin Patricia Cabot was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana, USA, the daughter of Barbara and C. Victor Cabot, a college professor. She lived in Grenoble, France, and Carmel, California—later the setting for her bestselling Mediator series—before moving to New York City after earning a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Indiana University. She worked for ten years as an assistant residence hall director at New York University, an experience that occasionally inspired her Heather Wells mystery series. Cabot is best known for the Princess Diaries series, which was adapted into two Disney films, sold over 20 million copies, and translated into 38 languages. She also wrote the 1-800-Where-R-You? series, later reprinted as Vanished, and was the author of numerous other award-winning and best-selling books, including All-American Girl, Avalon High, and series told entirely in emails and text messages. Her newer works include the tween series Allie Finkle’s Rules for Girls, the YA trilogy Airhead, and the paranormal series Abandon. She also wrote paranormal romance for adults, including Insatiable and its sequel, Overbite. Cabot is a #1 New York Times bestselling author of books for both adults and younger readers. She married Benjamin D. Egnatz, a financial writer and poet, in 1993 and currently lives in Key West with her husband and two cats.
