He is best known as the creator and main author of the Doc Savage series, a collection of 159 novels written over 16 years. These novels featured a superhuman scientist and adventurer named Doc Savage. The series was credited to the house name Kenneth Robeson, a pseudonym used for the series. Dent's work was part of the pulp fiction genre, which was popular in the early to mid-20th century.
