Leonie Swann, born in 1975, is a German writer who grew up near Munich and earned degrees in philosophy, communications, and psychology from Munich University and the Munich School of Philosophy. Her debut novel, Glennkill (published as Three Bags Full in English), came out in 2005, became an instant hit and led the German bestseller charts for months, and has since been translated into 26 languages, winning the Glauser Prize for crime fiction in the debut category and the PETA Award.
