John Galsworthy

John Galsworthy, an English novelist and playwright, was born August 14, 1867, in Kingston Hill, Surrey, England. He studied law and was called to the bar in 1890 but did not practice, working instead as a writer and actor. He won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1932 and died January 31, 1933.
