Of Chameleons and Gods is the first poetry collection by Malawian poet Jack Mapanje, published in 1981 in the United Kingdom through Heinemann's African Writers Series. The book received critical praise but was removed from circulation in Malawi. It was viewed as a criticism of the government and its leader, Hastings Kamuzu Banda.
