About “Original Sin”

Commander Adam Dalgliesh investigates a murder at the Peverell Press, a historic London publishing house located in a mock-Venetian building on the Thames. The victim is Gerard Etienne, the new managing director, known for his brilliance and ruthlessness. He had promised to revive the company's fortunes. Etienne had many enemies, including a former lover, a rejected author, and discontented colleagues. One of these colleagues had recently committed suicide. The murder occurs under strange conditions, and Dalgliesh must uncover the truth as he searches for a killer who may strike again.
