Three years after her journey through Vystrana, where she lost her husband, Isabella sets out on an expedition to Eriga, a war-torn continent known for its diverse dragon species. She travels with an old associate and a runaway heiress, facing extreme heat, illness, political intrigue, and other dangers. Her goal is to study dragons, particularly the elusive swamp-wyrms. She ventures into the dangerous Green Hell, where her skills and curiosity are put to the test.
