About “The Steel Remains”
A dark lord will rise, according to a prophecy that follows Ringil Eskiath, known as Gil, a former war hero turned disillusioned mercenary. Estranged from his noble family, Gil is asked by his mother to rescue a cousin who has been sold into slavery. As he searches for her, he discovers that the situation is far more complex. Strange magic is stirring, and the return of the Aldrain, a feared and beautiful race of demons, is being whispered about. Gil and two old friends must stop the prophecy from coming true, even as they risk becoming the very thing they fight against. The novel explores the cost of heroism and the uncertainty of whether the solution will be worse than the problem.
