About “1636”
In 1636, the United States of Europe, a nation formed by an alliance between the Swedish King Gustavus Adolphus and the West Virginians transported back in time, faces civil war. Gustavus is injured and no longer in command, leaving Swedish chancellor Oxenstierna to lead a conservative faction against the revolution. In Magdeburg, the capital of the USE, Rebecca Abrabanel, wife of Mike Stearns, organizes resistance against Oxenstierna's plan to crush the revolution. Princess Kristina, heir to the throne, is in Magdeburg and supports the resistance. Meanwhile, a secret plot unfolds in the city, involving murder as its method.
